A meeting of the executive committee was held on November 21, 2009, in Seward, Nebraska, at the Nebraska Tower on the Plains RBA all-breed show. This meeting was occasioned by the resignation of Janet Smith as Secretary-Treasurer of the club. Janet turned over all records as well as a cashier's check closing out the Colorado bank account. The regular general meeting was not possible because so many members and directors were not in attendance. Present were Rosa Fields, Jody Nissen, and Judy Fitzgerald. The following decisions were made:
1) Barb Huygens was elected Secretary-Treasurer. She took the records and the cashier's check and will open up a club account were she lives. The second account in Hickman will be maintained until Barb can get new debit cards and get the account established. Judy informed the committee that we can have a secretary-treasurer anywhere in the USA, but, since we are a Nebraska non-profit corporation, our registered agent must be in Nebraska. Judy is the current registered agent. All the registered agent does is see to it that the articles of incorporation are renewed every two years.
2) Since we are unable to elect officers and directors at the Friday specialty show, we will have an e-meeting of all members in the next week or two to elect officers and directors.
